Hi everyone!
I’m truly honored to be a part of the Reproductive Psychiatry & Counseling (RPC) team here in Austin, TX. Joining this practice has been an incredible experience, and I’m so excited to be working in a place that’s dedicated to helping women and families with their mental health. I recently moved from Tyler, TX, and I have to say, the level of care and support that RPC offers is truly remarkable. It’s unlike anything I’ve ever seen before, especially coming from a smaller town like Tyler. There really isn’t anything quite like this practice in my hometown, and I’m in awe of the impact it’s making on the community.
What makes me even more passionate about being a part of RPC is how close to home the mission hits. Like so many people, I have family members who struggled with postpartum depression and other mental health challenges after having children. Sadly, they never received the help they needed. Watching them navigate those struggles without the support or resources that could have made a difference was heartbreaking, and in some cases, those unaddressed challenges have manifested into ongoing difficulties today. I often find myself thinking about how much their lives could have been improved if they’d had access to a place like RPC, a place where they could have received compassionate, specialized care.
While I don’t come from a clinical background, I do bring with me years of experience in the administrative side of healthcare, and I’ve learned just how important it is to create a positive and welcoming environment for everyone who walks through our doors. My goal is to be that warm, friendly face you meet when you come into the office, someone who makes you feel comfortable and cared for from the moment you step inside. I believe that even the smallest interactions can make a big difference in someone’s experience, especially when they’re seeking support for something as personal as their mental health.
I’m thrilled to be a part of such an amazing team that’s making a real difference in people’s lives. I look forward to getting to know everyone who visits us and to contributing in any way I can to the incredible work we do here at RPC.
